Part of the reason I won’t buy a new car, plus my 07 has been driving just fine for the last 16 years anyways just going to drive it till it dies.

Yeah I was just looking at income, Cars like 300 and property tax is 6500 in a non Fairfield county town (was almost 9k in ffld county) federal government takes way more and I get even less in return from those schmucks.

Filing a one line proposed bill without language is standard at the start of session. If others support the concept, the committee can vote to “draft” it into a full bill.

Gotcha. Must make over 500k a year to get hit with 40k taxes to move out. I only pay around 4k so not so bad for me. Looking into what other states pay I was surprised to see CT isn’t even in the top 10 highest taxes for income tax.

Yeah, a house down the road from me, it’s a total piece of shit. Sold in a week. 2 Bed, 1 bath, 850 sq ft built on a 1/2 acre and never updated since 1950. Sold for $192,000. That house was barely valued at $100k 4 years ago.

IIRC from trying to pick up a Christmas beer they put out at one point, there's legal stuff that prevents them from selling their own beer in CT. I think I ended up going to one in MA or RI to get it.
