I feel you. It’s so frustrating and depressing. And our current neighborhood/situation isn’t helping. We started looking last year m, but stopped because it just felt pointless and we just started again because we’ve just had it with our current living situation for the past 7 years. And already it’s taking a toll on us. We just want a place to start our family and a yard for our dog where he’s not getting attacked by unleashed dogs.

Be patient and have more than you need in funds. I waited until 2009 after watching the nuttiness. Dropped the 20% + after slumming for some years. It will pay off. Realestate is cyclical, regardless of what some agents might tell you as they drive off in their tesla.
The 80s were insane, then the 90s came along. Early 2000, same shit, then '08. Here we are again.

Western MA is just as bad, if not worse.

MOre like Dim. Lights will stay on but people will learn how to conserve energy for the sake of their own purse. In the end, It might actually be beneficial to the Environment, the State and the people… unless of course no lessens will be learned. Which is what the “track” shows for most individuals in this country.

"Connecticut is a highway between NY and Boston" this state is becoming a victim of gentrification. Unfortunately..... the middle and lower class have nowhere to go because the surrounding states are just as expensive.

Yea. I had a landlord who never raised rent because , and I asked when I left. He never raised rents because the effort and cost took too long to overcome. A lot of times landlord's are short sighted. Because everything has to work, lipstick on a pig. That takes time, finding a new tenant takes time. Time is money. A new relationship brings risks. So if you have a client underpayment of 200 a month you risk a whole year profit just getting it empty and another year in profit putting lipstick on a pig. And if they are deadbeats it make take 6+ years, twice effort than if you were just a lazy cheap slumlord

Just switched from comcast to GNS, at the 900mbs, had issues with them for a while, weak signal, slow speeds. It was a nightmare, the second GNS was available I jumped right to them

Don't compare apples to oranges. Would say most people looking to buy a house need a house. Cramming a typical family of 4 into an apartment is not always practical.

Your still looking at 2k or more for a tiny 3br apartment and thats going to be in a neighborhood you would not want to send your kids to school in.

No hidden fees from Comcast for me.

Step one have a SO in the house to switch account to.

Step two take all Comcast equipment to the store, mine was in Middletown and cancel.

Step three have SO sign up for Internet only I pay 39.95 for 800 speed with autopay.

Step four buy your own modem and router and plug them in and activate on SO's account.

Step 5 enjoy the fact that n the North East there is no cap on data.

Have not tried Frontier but would guess the fiber is fine also look if Netspeed Fiber is in your town.
