Torrington Savings Bank will do a conventional for 10% down with no PMI if you have good enough credit.

I hope and wish towns and cities with homes for sale that dont sale realize “uhmm why dont people want to live in my town or city”. There seems to be a wanting to live in the surburbs and rural areas of CT instead of the cities and larger towns.

??? Is that a real question?
All else equal, where would you rather have your business? In a place where you get to keep more of your businesses earnings or less of your businesses earnings.
Lower taxes make places more attractive to businesses. In this particular case, Boston has something that appeals to a business (although this seems to be more of a consolidation move than anything else). To compete with places that have other attractions that CT doesn't, we need other ways to make our state appealing. One of the easiest and best ways to make a state appealing to business is to lower the tax burden on those businesses.

The state would need to pay the feds back billions of dollars in federal funds used for our highways since we removed tolls previously. Doesn't seem like a good idea just for this reason.

You're right I should have just replied with "no you're wrong" instead of....gasp....asking for evidence. What was I thinking.
I did click around for a while. And do somewhat regularly, when a bill interests me professionally.
Can't say in all my years I remember seeing so many one liners as I did from Fazio. Virtually all of his bills.
Even clicking random bills from random other reps and senators, I didn't find any.

Just helped my in laws with this… have you told your tv to scan for channels for the antenna? It doesn’t automatically happen without the scan. (Unlike your cable box which works automatically) The other thing we ran into is the type of antenna. WTNH Channel 8 operates on a different band and we couldn’t get it with the type of antenna they were using. They’ll need one with VHF to get channel 8.

All about line of sight. More hills, more problems. Height and pointed direction will have a lot of influence over what you get. Digital is digital - basically, it will either "come in" or it won't. No fuzzies like back in the day.

Doesn't sound like it would be a requirement for pharmacies to do this though, just an option. The problem is with business management, as usual

Your first statement had me not read your entire post. Before you insult someone, don’t do it in the first paragraph.

This is a terrible time of year to be house hunting. I would plan to wait until spring/summer. Lots of people wait to list their homes until their kids finish the school year. I'd hold off at least that long.

I've found directionality makes a big difference. We're east of Hartford, and point our (external) antenna southeast - we get a pretty decent number of stations from both Hartford and New Haven area, although ABC is always pretty hit-or-miss. This was suggested elsewhere in the thread, but https://www.antennaweb.org/ is great to visualize where signals originate.

No I 100% agree! And the overturn of Roe v Wade has been terrifying. I've just seen first hand the bad complications birth control has, and I think protecting people's rights to abortion, bodily autonomy, ease of access to health care and programs like Planned Parenthood is super important, especially right now.

I read recently that stock is down across the board in CT. We currently own but are looking for a larger place in the next year, but the limited stock and frankly the interest rates are allowing us some time. Best of luck in your search. House hunting can be fun but it is also busy and tiring.

Aha I guess this is what we will have to do just be more patient about it. Who knows maybe we will. Hoping that spring and summer brings more to us!

What model do you have? I currently don’t live in CT but I picked up this one for my house and installed it in my attic. Works really good.

All I’m gonna say is this, then I’m done interacting with you, I have better things to do with my time.
You’re only worried about your issues and your opinions and to busy trying to change other people’s minds and opinions. Which is a losing battle btw.
You have zero empathy for the issues facing pharmacists and the actual people, adding more responsibility to already short staffed companies (who won’t hire because it hurts their profit margins)
And with that, I’m done. Have fun clacking away into the Ether.

I was under the assumption that your doctors just refill it for you until your next yearly where they will renew the script, and I think that's reasonable considering our bodies are always changing and it shouldn't be a one and done. I don't think anyone should be comfortable putting their health solely into the hands of a pharmacist. Hormones aren't things to be messed around with, ya know?
Edit: I think it's more important to focus on organizations like Planned Parenthood that can help folks get access to the proper health care they need (in all regards) and that includes access to birth control, exams, etc.

These companies are leaving to Boston, not Oklahoma.
