Also, this isn't a crisis and therefore won't be addressed until it is truly out of control

Condo board member here.
The town will not plow your road they will not fix your road they will not pickup your trash. If you have town sewer you will have to pay for any repairs past the main town owned street.
Here is the best part your taxes will pay for fixing or providing all these services to everyone else in town!
They will send fire and police if you need them. At least they do that.

Alvarium is fantastic. Every beer I’ve had from them has been great. I also really like their hard seltzers, they’re probably the best I’ve tried.

New Haven is statistically one of the most dangerous cities in CT. It’s great that you haven’t had any issues but you’re just objectively wrong that it’s a “safe” city to live (compared to other CT cities). It’s weird you’re even trying to say otherwise when crime statistics are something that’s super easy to verify.

New Britain mill rate is 49.5. Better off in Berlin for $350,000 than New Britain for $250,000

Don't forget the canal trail. In the next year or two you will be able to take it all the way to New Haven.

New Haven is very bureaucratic (ex: tearing down church st south took forever, and redeveloping around Union Station hasn’t even commenced)

Kent Falls is the best IMFO. New Park is pretty good. So is Fox Farms. Legitimus too.

Lots of parks nearby.
Salmon brook, Mclean wildlife refuge, Granbrook park. Old Newgate prison is nearby as well.
There’s an international skating center nearby in simsbury.
And you’re only 15 minutes away from Windsor, which has Bradley International Airport.

That's unfortunate and I'm sorry you had that experience.
The tech we had install ours last summer was amazing. He made suggestions that would require him to work more, but would hide the wires and be a better placement for aesthetics. Really just paid a lot of attention to the details.
He also gave us a hub for plugged in LAN for free, and said Frontier usually charges extra for that equipment but he had a few spares in his truck.
In fact, I don't think I've ever had such a wonderful service person from a utility company like that.
Also, our internet has been fantastic - zero issues.

No one is doing it casually. And the absolute best method to prevent ever considering have to get it is not getting pregnant in the first place using birth control methods.
