This! As a developer, investor of a couple houses and growing up in this game. You sir win the internet prize today. This is exactly what the market is right now. OP has to either wait it out or be ready to pull the trigger on a house with good bones before a guy like me comes around. :)

I was looking to hear some stories from people about how their homes have appreciated over the years. Maybe some insight about if people are flocking to Norwalk, any info on anything in the works about venues that may attract more people…stuff like that. I know no one can predict I’m just looking for insight.

It’s a part time job
Connecticut's General Assembly is considered a part time legislature. The legislature convenes for five months on odd numbered years, and for three months in the even numbered years

I only go to town fair tire, but a subreddit is weird. I feel like it’s going to just be tire porn.

Reply to Favorite things to do in/near Granby by cspawn
I've lived in Granby since 2009 and love it.
Pros: Great restaurants, good schools, people are friendly, quaint, lots of hiking nearby, horse town, IMO town DPW does a great job with plowing/road treatment of secondary roads
Cons: High taxes, far from Home Depot, not close to the highway

Anecdotal data will be of little utility. If you were expecting the people of reddit to be able to predict housing prices I think you are sorely over estimating the power of the crowd. The suggestion to go to Zillow and take a sample of home prices is a good one. Make sure you grab enough houses that are similar to the one you were trying to compare to to get a decent representative sample size, at least 15 or 20.

They line their pockets in other ways. If you don't understand this you shouldn't even be on this planet.

True. My point was that we can reduce the generation charge a bit, but there's nothing we can do about their insidious delivery charge. It may not have gone up in a year, but it's gone up considerably over the past several years.

It leaves the door wide open for corruption, so I am all for changing those legislative roles to full time. It's the reason we have so many Eversource execs in legislative roles. It's complete BS
