True, but for such a rich state you'd expect there to be more

Limerock, Thompson
For such a small state, having two road courses is pretty good

I'm aware, though Lime Rock allows you to rent the track for around $325

Most tracks don't just let you drive a road car on them. Track days are a thing, even if they're expensive.

A good 93 acres in Warren is over 1 million dollars, plus the cost to build a track is insane

And there is your answer to why there isn’t a Grand Prix track in CT.

100 acres is very expressive, very very expensive

Same crap every year. Fart around with nonsense like this, then at the end of session they'll all say how they wish they could have done something about the truly important issues facing the state but they "ran out of time".

For the averages CT resident it wouldn't be an issue to rent the track, but I want to be able to drive a street car there, and I am not really able to shed a few hundred dollars on the spot

Really? I guess that makes sense but you'd think they would be smarter about their decision, though they chose to live in CT so. Idk, I still with there were more grand prix style tracks in CT, with how rich people are here you'd expect them to be down with racing, would probably get a lot of money to the state and help the economy if national racing events were held here in CT

It can be depending on what you want to do. A lot of the car clubs race there. It's not like the Nurburgring where you pay a tenner and get a few gos around, this is true. And nothing in CT is more than a couple hours away. It's worth the ride. It's a gorgeous track and super fun to drive around. It's worth the cash.

Surprisingly it's a lot of younger families after the old residents started dying off and the houses were sold.

I am looking at Lime Rock Park right now actually, issue is it's pretty far from me and seems really expensive, like, average Connecticut citizen rich

Limerock Park, but it's facing a bunch of whiney neighbors who bought next to a 50+ year old racetrack and then complain about the noise.

Well, you've obviouly never heard of Lime Rock Park. IMSA races there.

My house has increased about 160k since 2019, give or take. It depends on location, access too SoNo, train, water views, etc. I can walk less than one minute and see houses over a million but my street is solidly middle class-ish

Reply to CT's legislature salaries are starvation wages, $28k/year. You have to be retired or rich to serve. This is regressive and should be changed. by MormonReformist
While I live in MA and not CT, I gotta say I like the idea of politics not being a paid position. Tax wrote off able, but you shouldn't be paid to guide your fellow people to what's good for THEM. It absolutely shouldn't be a job for just anyone, and honestly I think they should take it further.
