Geese are going to geese, not really much the venue can do as it's touchy to harass migratory birds.

I'm shocked about the noise limits. When I went to a wedding in September we were going wild until about 2am on a Thursday.

Their apps are absolutely amazing, beautiful scenery, very well organized. The main course was typical mass sit down fare, edible and decent but not really review and certainly a bit of a let down with how good the apps were, honestly.

Can’t go wrong with the towns you mentioned. Would need to hear more criteria but I’d look at Cheshire, Bethany, Woodbridge, Orange, Guilford, Madison, Avon, Simsbury.

This was high on our wedding places to choose. They are a wedding factory which is fine. The food was good - nothing too extravagant - I went there for a different event.

But the guy talking to me about my potential wedding kept trash talking teachers and how cheap we are. Guy, I was trying to give you money?? It wasn’t as memorable aside from that. Tons of Canadian geese on the lawn and they had strict noise requirements within the neighborhood.

My only advice for someone moving here is to check your current electric usage against what eversource is charging right now. It’s a huge shock to the system to see your first $700 electric bill after moving here.

Yes, to me, the answer would be a new team and arena in Stamford (adjacent to the train station). It would be pretty convenient for people from Fairfield, Westchester, and New Haven counties. That’s basically 3 million people. It would also be easy for fans from NY, Boston, and DC to see away games…

If you or anyone in your family works for the state, I highly recommend Connecticut State Employees Credit Union. They have great service, are super sweet, pay out dividends for your account and great refinance and auto loan rates. Their new auto loan rate is 2.49%!

Cons are a lack of locations and hours are pretty sparse.

I’ve lived in New Haven for 15 years. Moved here from Boston. It’s a great little city, with much of the culture, arts, dining, music, nightlife, theater, that you find in a larger city in a smaller, more accessible package. Best neighborhoods: East Rock, Westville, Wooster Square, downtown, Beaver Hills.

Supply rates will definitely be coming down July 1st. Will they return to .09-.11? Most likely not. I’m predicting between .14-.18. Remember utility rates lag the real-time energy markets by 6-12 months. The $8-9/Dth gas we saw over the summer caused the drastic .24/kWh winter rates. With natgas under $3/Dth currently, rates will come down next rate change.

You can already see tranches of power in the .13-.17 range (second link)

I went here for a friend's wedding several years back, so I can only comment from a guest's point of view.

Had a great time. Food was fine, nothing amazing imo. Always love an open bar. Already knew this place was too big for what I'd want for a wedding venue as they had well over 200 people 🤣
