Yeah, I got lucky with the timing. The wave hit Boston first. I made a killing on my sale up there and caught a bargain here. Fast $100+k I ever made😂

Definitely look for local activities. In Stamford there’s a dodgeball tournament for 21+ people. It’s usually a great way to meet new people. My girlfriend also used bumble at one point to meet new friends. I know it’s hard, even I find it difficult to hang out with people. But I try and make friends from places I visit often

That’s a hell of a bargain considering what is even available for sale and now the prices for what you get. Well done!

listen to this guy with his fancy hallway. I bet you even had lights
At 15 my whole world was the inside of a dirty toilet bowl. I had to share the rest of the bathroom with my 4 siblings and a vagrant dude we called two-toe Harry which was weird because he had normal feet. And there were no lights :(

New London here. Looks like our numbers used to be just as bad. Explains why my kindergartner’s school is so adamant about the kids coming to school even if they’re sick.

New morning is highway robbery Bobs red mill oats that can be got at job lot for 2.99 are like 9.99. Their baked goods are OFF the charts delicious though. I like stopping in there for pre made food more than produce. If I was to do my whole weekly shop there I would for sure be broke, homeless & well fed

Madison is the equivalent to what Darien was like during the 1970s and 1980s. People walking about, waving to each other not afraid to stop for a quick chat, a bit of snob culture sprinkled in.

I work outside. After about 5 years of working outside I have noticed my body adapts to the change in seasons regularly, in a way it did not used to.
But this winter has really disrupted the nice rhythm I had. Now I'm going to suffer in a way that I otherwise wouldn't have if we didn't have this warm weather.
The animal part of me is being directly impacted by climate change.

Agreed. When I have them running it keeps it right around 70-72* average, on extra cold days when I turn both on, it’s usually between 70-74F, I keep my thermostat for the HVAC at 67F all winter long and it only burns oil when temps get below 15*F.
My wife loves it and has the X- shaped clothes drying racks, so on laundry days, she sets them up in front of the stove in the dining room to dry the clothes and it adds a nice touch of moisture and that nostalgic fresh laundry smell to our house. We run humidifiers in the bedrooms to help with the dry air (two daughters and our room too).
I’ve lived with a Pellet Stove since 2008 and can’t see life in New England without one. Efficient and adds a nice touch without much maintenance.

My wife is around the same age. A lot of her friends are other moms. She also started a book club because she likes to read, and made a lot of friends there. I am the one struggling to find friends in my 30s! Might take up rock climbing again to meet some people at the climbing gym.

Makes perfect sense now! The NEA only supports blue candidates. You’re not for society, you’re for yourself!
