The light just turns off. No longer is affected by any sort of motion.

I'm Thinking photo cell. Meaning it will turn on and off with sun/no sun instead of motion.

I bet this guy is right. Auto might make it a motion sensor light. PC makes it a dusk till dawn light.
The light switch it's connected to has to stay on
