OP said is saying the wood is stripped out around the lag screw, not that the screws cannot be removed…

Why not finish driving the screws the old fashioned way; the way billions of people did for centuries? With a hand held screwdriver?

Pro-tip rub wax on your screws for easier screwing

If this is typical of the older mobile homes I've seen you might not have any structure capable of directly supporting #2. A purpose-built pergola or similar structure might be needed. For #1 a stud finder might help you find structure to tie to.

acceptable wiring, just make sure to wrap each end of the neutral wire between switches with black or red electrical tape to indicate it is a hot wire otherwise someone may inadvertently wire it to the neutral in the future.

Try using the carpet jig that came with the stop squeak screws instead of the bare floor jig. The screws need to pull the sub-floor tight to the joist. If you use the bare floor jig they are pulling on the flooring and will be less effective. Start just outside the squeak zone and put a screw in every three or four inches along the joist. Good luck.

i'm saying a 6" long core bit. Core out the whole lag after popping the head off.

Black caulk fills the biggest gaps. (That’s what I have been told.) I have only ever seen white caulk.

Hmm. You think that’d be safe since it’s flammable? There’s a product I saw on Amazon called “stop creak” that might be good tho

Main reason I call them lag screws, refuse to think "bolt".

Are you saying a 24-36" long 1/2" or 3/4" drill bit?

is the feed from a proper connection in a box or is it just plugged in somewhere? The connection point at the fixture is easily remedied provided the supply was done correctly.

I think you mean evaporate. Isopropyl alcohol doesn't have bubbles. Yes, nitpicky grammar nazi-ish I know. That's how I roll.
Edit: I should have added that this sounds like a sound approach to resolving the problem but I'm not a professional.

I did the same but through the wall. I would do it in the wall instead of the door. It will be better long term.

My guess is water damage from leaks around the doors and from the carpet. IF the plywood is still ok( not spongy) then for now reseal the doors and lay some vinyl plank floor. Not ideal but from what I see you will be ok until the gut job which this bath needs.
As long as the drain is good and no leaks from shower controls a little silicone and cheap vinyl floor should smooth you over til gut time
Raul_McCai t1_j2b9ih8 wrote
I should think you could get a butyl (gasket material) seal that will fill the void and then use silicone to lock that in place and seal it all up

Fill the tub with water before you caulk as well. The weight of the water can cause the tub to slightly lower.

Reply to Installing new ceiling - how to mark/cut for existing recessed lighting? by PanhandlerFL
Figuring out a hole is easy. What I want to know is why in the hell do you have water pipes in an attic that can freeze? Get the pipes out of the attic.
Sorry I live in Canada and water pipes in the attic space or in outside wall space is not accepted
Don't bother fixing the ceiling until you get rid of water pipes unless you like a redo every year.
