I'd build something for that purpose. Sink a couple of 8' 4x4's a couple of feet into the ground, put one across the top of them, and whala! Use your imagination from there.

Reply to Building a desk, installing the legs... how close to the edge of the butcher block is safe to attach screws? by SnooSongs3993
I just made a butcher block desk for my wife for Christmas. I went with 1" from the edge. Predrilled all the holes and used 3/4" screws.

I have seen standing hooks - I think they're called shepherds hooks? - and have considered getting one for similar reasons, I'm not so much worried about the structural capabilities as much as I know I will want to change the location lol.
I am in Phoenix and have been wanting it moreso because makes sense for our landscaping - a work in progress but basic desert xeriscape - the zone climate etc makes it easy to work with, esp as i can use the environment (big rocks etc) to keep things weighed down if need be.

Some Siliconized acrylic latex is rated for wet areas. Any tub and shower caulk that’s not 100% silicone will probably be siliconized acrylic latex.

Are you leaving air gaps?
Vmax-Mike t1_j2bq6je wrote
You will have to do it in stages. I have a corner shower that I redid. On the big gaps, put a base bead in, then leave it alone to dry. That’s how I did mine. Obviously take that old caulking out, clean it, then start over.

OK Pro tip
Pull it all out and start over up a few inches.
Get torqx drive screws often called "star drive"
I won't use anything else - ever - if I can get away with it and I usually can.
Get a torqx driver for your drill or just a manual T handle driver (don't buy junk - ever) Bondhus or Wiha brand are the best. Star Drive bits for a power drill come in different sizes unlike Slotted or Phillips drive screws. Star drive screws don't cam out, they drive more cleanly and easily. They are so much better than anything else.
You can get torqx drive bits and screws at the BORG or any hardware store or online everywhere.

Yes. I’m saying it’s not nearly as dangerous as most folks imagine and that you can do work in your own panel if you’re careful.

Thanks! I think the gap is there because the installer wanted to make the shower floor sloped for drainage. The existing caulk is my first attempt at sealing it.

Funny, I was going to mention dogs, cause I had 3 dogs when I was deciding on what to do with my driveway, and heat on their paws, or even for them to lay down on (they liked laying on the driveway) was important to my wife and I. (We ended-up keeping it gravel, but added more gravel, as we lived in a rural area, and we just liked the gravel look).
