Perfect! Looks good!
Also always try to duplicate for double!
I wish my duplicate projects only cost double.

My first thought was that my wife would love the aesthetic and the shape is so practical for weather. Everyone wins.

I’ve seen professionals on YouTube sanding floors and their critiques of diy videos and the common theme is the floors mostly look like crap when people try it diy. I would recommend a professional

I just replaced old knobs and I tightened the screws on one too tight which made the handle tough to turn. See if loosening the screws helps

As stated you will have to take it apart. Actually I just did the same thing with my similar lock. I cleaned it with WD-40, then alcohol to remove the WD-40 (because it will stick when cold) and lubed it with graphite dry lube.
You will have to remove the bolt and clean that as well.
I think this is pretty simple, not a lot of intricate parts to deal with.

Well I don't know. I don't subscribe to the animal husbandry sub to know what their running gag on costs is.

Let it get a nice natural patina, then clear coat it, that way you will end up with a rustic look that will also last.

Looks great. Now the challenge next week. Build a hexagon smokeless fire pit.

I've got a respirator, it's worn.

Good idea on the ventilation but I don't see any respirator.
Seriously should consider a respirator for any amount of welding our grinding. About $30-40 for a good, comfortable one and will last years with only filter replacement. You want one with nuisance level organic gas filtering.
Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/3M-Facepiece-Respirator-Respiratory-Protection/dp/B001NDN29O

Do I need to skin a cow and tan the leather for my welding gloves too?

I agree. Hardwood floors should always be done by a professional. DIY for this is always obvious.
