If you're open to feedback, I'll say that I found this composition lacking a thesis. What would you say the point of this picture is? What emotion do you want it to inspire in the viewer, and which elements do you think convey it? I've never been to Kentucky, so I'd happily have you show me more of it.

Red River Gorge, Kentucky is known for rock faces and natural bridges, I photographed this to show the beauty that I see whenever I go there and hike the trails. I think the colors and rocky landscape tell a story of how many people have climbed and stepped on them but how water and millennia have formed sediment and different types of rock faces that we enjoy looking at and photographing today.

Thanks for being open to it, I have a lot of opinions but I never want to be a jerk. Something to convey scale would help this shot. I can't tell if the next level up is 5 feet off the ground or 15. Many photos on this sub are either grandeur or detail, and this sort of falls in between. I took this pic with my phone on the ground - have some fun trying different angles, too. https://www.reddit.com/r/Wildflowers/comments/yexkke/hiking_outside_walden_co_in_august/

For sure, right now I’m shooting with a 35mm and if I had a wider lens I would definitely use it.
