Beautiful! I was there in September and most of the falls were barely a trickle. I need to try again in the springtime.

Looks like a good place to build a camp to keep the zombies away...

Yes! There is a shallow cave behind it with a few benches you can sit on to watch it. It sounds like you’re inside a jet engine.

Are you camping in the area? And I would think that experienced hikers even kids could make the halfway trip around... but you would need some climbing equipment and safety gear for portions on the far side of the lake (pictured).
The beauty of the internet is that you can study all the paths and trails long beforehand and plan your routes.
The reason I asked about camping is that will help determine how long you want to take walking around the lake

I'm going there next summer with my kids. We're all hikers. Any suggestions?

This one specifically is North Falls. I think it’s the best one. South Falls is the most popular one.

Looked familiar, my GF is from Portland and we go back there a bunch. We did this hike last Jan and I remember capturing some video and binaural audio of some falls

i went in august and they had still not reopened the boat tour from covid shut down. that was disappointing but it was still amazing going down to the shore and jumping in.

I think those are trees on the bottom of the picture, so it's drone, a helicopter, or a cliff above the forest.

Silver falls is the name of the park but there are like ten different waterfalls a few of which look pretty similar. One of these is named silver falls and lends the name to the park but the rest have their own names. OP is saying this is one of the falls in silver falls park but not sure which one.

Damn it’s usually heavier in December, I love that trail and that waterfall in particular. That was the biggest one I had seen in my life until I went to multnomah

I grew up around this area. It's silver falls, and there's a ton of falls on the trail hence the "ten falls trail."
Also: one of my favorite drives. tons of curves and what-not

It's 6100 feet up. Snow stays until late spring. Don't go too early.
An old post of mine...
If you really want a neat experience, take the boat to Wizard Island. I think you can buy tickets online.
[What the entire island looks like] ( http://i.imgur.com/V7LEv4m.jpg). Was formed from separate volcanic event waaay after lake was already there. You can take the morning boat and stay about 4 hours until afternoon boat picks you up. We brought a picnic and everything. [The "beach" we lounged at was just sharp lava rocks.] ( http://i.imgur.com/mriOiVH.jpg). Wear good shoes for the [trail] ( http://i.imgur.com/Z716JCt.jpg). To get to the boat its one mile up, one mile down. Just switchbacks, no rides.
[I made this.] ( http://i.imgur.com/J4iHMUh.jpg)
