Does seriously look like something from LOTRs
We owe those movies a lot for showing us some insanely beautiful (real) places that most of us will never get to see in person.

Why would you even post something like this? - are you a bot? if it bothers you that much, you should indeed unsubscribe and you may even want to stop using reddit, and maybe even the internet altogether.

You are good.
It is a breathtaking location and Iβm very glad to have visited it back in June.

ONLY guided tours by local Navajo.
It is Navajo land so they have their own autonomous laws.

as one of the guides explained it to me, they have to pay attention to the weather, and they do inspections each morning to clear out any debris, animals and reptiles,
they do close sometimes for safety concerns, so yes it is generally safe, if you are there with a guide, people have died though

βSee these holes? They are from when the Indians and cowboys were fighting.β
βNotice how there are no more cowboys?β
I enjoyed our guide - he had a good sense of humor.

The main wall for the climbing community here is the Lotus Flower Tower, the flat looking one in the middle of the group of 3 on the left. Bucket list climb for sure.

I'm starting to like Reddit as an image sharing platform better than IG. Other than likes/upvotes, I post my images to get critiques and see what others think about my work, and I don't get that on IG. Of course I also join some other subs to my liking which is a plus :D

Going to this place was one of the best decisions of my life, and one of the best trips I've ever done. Typically it's more popular with rock climbers, but we went in the beginning of September which meant we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Not to mention beautiful autumn colors and no bugs! We experienced all sorts of weather, including snow squalls, rain, high winds, sub zero temperatures and beautiful blue skies. It is extremely remote with lots of logistics to deal with for getting there, but it's worth every bit of effort and money.
If you'd like to see more from this trip I have them posted on my website.

Visited from Ireland last Feb, first time in Canada, had an amazing time! You're very lucky to live there. We were snowboarding for the week but still managed to visit all the bars and restaurants we wanted to and made a trip to lake Louise, up the gondola and hiked Johnston creek in the snow worried we were about to be mailed by mountain lions!
