One of my favorite places. My father-in-law loved to go trout fishing in the river at the bottom of the valley (invisible here).
He died some years ago and his ashes were strewn into the river.

Btw everyone I hope you all know the sun will eventually burn up the entire planet . No need to send yourself into a depression bc of natural warming and cooling or the planet 🤷♂️ enjoy what you have today and stop worrying about climate change bc there isn’t a damn thing any of us can do about it

Beautiful area. I'll likely never go back unless in winter time. It turns out I'm badly allergic to the alpine grass they have in this valley. I could barely breathe when I went there. On the Chamonix side completely fine. Weird.

VR games are fun, but the climbing movies and other outdoorsy stuff is always so lame. Even when its edited well to look super 3D. Just makes me feel like im in a dystopia.

Correct. The local language is Arpitan, or more specifically, the Valdôtain dialect. Although, today, the majority speak Italian as their mother tongue.

It just depends on how long you can spend, when you want to go, what else you want to do in the state, & what your physical level is. For me my favorite time is early September after Labor Day. I recommend 3 days in the valley & at least a day in Toulumene Meadows. If you're going to camp, reservations open up 6 months in advance. The Toulumene Meadows campground will be closed till 2024 I think. If you are thinking about hotels, consider Curry village in the park.

Aah, the Ragged Range. I'm so happy that I see this on here so rarely because it means it's still relatively unknown and untouched. You basically need to charter an aircraft to get to the Logan Mountains.

I'm fortunate enough to have this place in my backyard. A two hour drive puts me in Yosemite Valley.
