White Rim Road?
lukearens OP t1_j265g9j wrote
My wife was diagnosed with and completed treatment for breast cancer this year and we decided to celebrate by driving the White Rim Road in Utah. White Rim Road is a 100 mile 4x4 trail through the Canyonlands backcountry, with lots of rough terrain and some white-knuckle cliffside ascents. If you've been to the Island in the Sky district - it starts at that crazy looking switchback you can see from the visitor center, and that's pretty tame compared to some of the other parts. This was the view from one of our campsites, looking out over the rugged country toward the La Sal Mountains. I put together a trip report on my site if you're interested in more of a casual look at the area.

No, I remember the conifer trees in the foreground and a horizon that didn't look like the bay area.

Edit: scrolled back through that sub and didn't find it. I could be mistaking this for a similar photo.

No, I took this picture with my iPhone last January. I'm not sure what you're talking about. Feel free to link to the other post because I'd like to talk to the other person with access to my phone!
