Having driven coast to coast to coast numerous times in Canada. I will maintain that the drive around the Gaspe Peninsula is the most beautiful in the country. Summer and fall.

Yes I have driven the Ice Field Hwy from Jasper to Banff. Yes I have driven 3a through southern B.C. and yes I have done Cape Breton and all of Newfoundland. All of them stunning.

There is just something amazing going around the peninsula. My only criticism would be there are not enough places to pull over to enjoy the view.

Skiing gets you some magnificent views that most people never see. I love being at the top of a run looking out for miles over mountains and trees.

This picture doesn't reflect the whole Rocher, not only that, but its name (Rocher Percé - Percé meaning "hole-punched", or with a hole), as seen from an angle further to the right, you would see why it has this name.

Here's my picture of the Rocher, where you can see the hole.

Used to visit and stay in El Tovar in February for my stepdad’s birthday. He loved snow in the canyon. Makes me a little teary-eyed when I see it.

I don't know the name panther beach, but my best guess is it looks like a part of West Cliff near natural bridges

If you focus your eyes just right, you can see the rabbit.

There are many varieties indeed. I like the soft skinned ones that go black, not too big - the big ones not as good - and they're ripe when the skin opens those stripes. Or the small green ones we call "pingo de mel" - "honey drop"

The smell of fig trees in the evening, to me, instantly spells "summer days".

I'm curious when the cacti was introduced to the island. It looks like it thrives there.

Very difficult to capture the colors of the rocks as they appear in person but this picture does an excellent job of getting them just right! Beautiful photo!
