It made the trip both more wonderful and more exhausting - there was always something to see, almost 24 hours a day.

When we arrived it was packed in with clouds. We had to wait them out to catch this view, for a brief few minutes they lifted and it felt so foreign and beautiful and breath taking. This was just one of several cinder cones at this location. I have a wide angle that was neat as well but this was my favorite.

Truly, the volcano looked like a painting to me. I really had to look at it before I accepted it as a photo. Given, I have less 20/20 vision. lol
