It's a beautiful place, with the possibility to stay the night also up at the lake in a few "hotels" .. during summer it can get crowded, my wife and I have been a few times in fall and it's nice, not too many people.
Ride the lift up, walk ~20 minutes to the lake, enjoy!

Utah native here. The Unitas were absolutely ravaged by bark beetles in decades past. It's gotten a little better but that's honestly because so many of the more vulnerable trees are already dead.

Didnt knew this lake, are there many tourists? When is the best time to visit?
Looks a bit similar to the Lake Praies, but cant visit anymore because there are soooo many tourists

It's been 27 years since we were last there. It's very noticeable how far the snow has retreated. The glaciers were much thicker as well.

Was looking on google earth. Looks like those mountains rise almost 7000 ft above the lake.
