Ya no one was around when we were there. I didn’t know they closed it.

Really wanted to check this out when I was in Kauai in December but we’d heard it was closed with security guards to keep people out. Too many people getting in the water when they shouldn’t be.

I wish I was there right now, splayed out on the sand, staring at the sky.

Went this summer, drove up from Taos, walking the dunes really let me know I'm no spring chicken anymore. Headed to Zapata Falls after and really enjoyed that short hike, lots of melt water running clear and cold.
