The sense of scale here is so hard to place, and is easily the best feature of this.

People see "Rocky Mountain National Park" and upvote an objectively bad photo of it simply because they know it's a beautiful place? Yeah, that tracks actually.

Posting to Reddit is blind dumb luck, honestly

Just because it’s a beautiful place?

Was this a volcano at some point or is it just a trick of the light/shadows? Reminds me of Mt St Helens after a third of it was blown away. Admittedly I know absolutely nothing about mountains coming from NE Texas, lol.

It's called the Y couloir on Ypsilon Mountain...skiable depending on conditions, but its remote and gnar gnar.

All too true, and thank you! I need to spend more time exploring more of AZ; this was only my second time going but I know there is much more to see.

Excellent photo. Anyone who hasn’t been to this part of the country - no photo does it justice. It’s breathtaking and awe inspiring to stand over that edge and look down. There’s also half a dozen or so insanely beautiful national parks within a couple hours drive from the Grand Canyon

This is fairly small scale probably around 6 inches high, I've got a lot of questions about the scale due to the composition. This photo is missing a lot of resolution since I downloaded from my Instagram profile, I'll attach the full res image later today which should help seeing the sand grains a little better
