Where abouts in Washington do you live? An east coast to west coast move has been in my mind for a while

This eruption has been entirely confined to the summit caldera and has not affected any island residents besides the VOG that has been collecting on the Kona side.
If you’re wondering about the Mauna Loa eruption of last year, the lava flow stopped short of affecting the saddle road highway and ended. No homes, infrastructure, or privately owned properties were affected.

The lava is only in Halemaumau Crater at the summit of Kilauea in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This eruption, almost any crater rim viewing site has clear sights of the lava lake and fountains.

This photo appears to be from the hiking Overlook directly into the Halemaʻumaʻu crater. . This isn't anywhere near anything at this point.

I believe this particular eruption has been relatively contained and no damage has (yet) occurred.

Does anyone know how far it’s spread this time and if it took any homes?

If it’s still going, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park’s Devastation Trail leads right to the viewing area.

Thank you for posting this pic. I used to live in that area, and now miss it terribly. That picture is like a visit back home.

We did the devastation trail walk last night around midnite, still plenty of people checking it out at that hour.

Since we’ve got you here…I could put in for a transfer to Spokane. Got any intel on what it’s like to live there? Early 40s guy, no kids, progressive politics coming from N TX.
Edit: don’t get why this would be downvoted.
