Gorgeous. But I'm surprised to learn that "Fiordland, New Zealand" is not a Norwegian-themed amusement park in NZ. Seems like a missed opportunity.

So you think I posted my pic because I want to farm karma?!? (Sigh) Looking at the huge amount of posts you put on Reddit I wonder if you subconsciously are talking about yourself! I don’t even know what the hell I use karma for, but obviously you do! Anyway, I visited this place a morning in 2013, besides my girlfriend we took the tour with 5 other people, and the guide was super nice. We didn’t see any bus loads of people, and nobody was in a rush. I don’t see what you get out of your tirade, other that saying you had a bad experience. Who cares?

It only picked up around covid. I picked a year just to avoid the pedants from doing deep research and seeing it was only like 65% or something.

Aurora borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country, localized entirely within your kitchen?

Sigh, can we ban Antelope Canyon pics already? I feel like they get posted almost daily to farm Karma.
Someone should post a picture of what it's actually like visiting this place. I was there a few years ago. I've traveled all over the world, and this was one of the biggest tourist traps I've ever seen. Access is only possible through a Navajo ran "guided tour". BUSLOADS of people divided into groups are led through the canyon like cattle with only a few minutes interval in between which means the guide keeps telling everyone to keep moving because the next hoard is approaching behind. People want to take pictures without other people in the frame so they'll stall/stand still for a bit waiting for the people in front to advance out of sight to take pics, which creates harmonica effect pedestrian traffic jams. Then people start arguing because THEY want to take pics too and then the guides get agitated too it's just a giant shitshow. And this was in September which is supposedly low season..

I have to admit it IS extremely beautiful, but the whole visit was easily my worst experience during my 2month road-trip through the USA.

I was going to say I avoid Manuel Antonio like the plague. It’s like the Jersey shore.

Lmao no one is moving because of a picture posted to r/earthporn. People already know it's beautiful.
Just wait until the climate refugees start coming en masse, then we will really have a problem.

Got to horseback ride through part of there about a year ago. A sublime experience to say the least.
