There is this mountain range called Alpstein in Appenzell, consisting of lots of peaks and 3 absolutely beautiful lakes (the one on the picture being one of them). If you have time and some good hiking boots, you must go on some hikes there!

And if you have recs for other must see places I would love to hear them!

Currently planning a trip to Switzerland and adding Appenzell to the list of places to visit!

Yeah that's what I thought! We had dinner one of the days at Berggasthaus Bollenwees which is right on the end of that lake. When we were there the lake was like 90% dry though so it definitely didn't look like that, but the valley looked very familiar.

I did a 4.5 day hike with a group of friends a few years back in Appenzell and it's probably my favorite trip I've ever done.

I miss New Brunswick. I lived there for a year and a half and it was the best year of my life.
