If you mean the thin streak across the sky, then it's either a meteor or a satellite, and if you mean the large fuzzy blob, then it's the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Good parts of the back country above tree line look like this. My first thought was the Tekarra camp site on the Jasper Skyline Trail during wildflower season, but looking closer that doesn't look like Tekarra peak.

This makes me very sad. I wanted so much for their culture to be alive and spreading goodness to their own without our interference. But I guess life never really works that way.

And I’d honestly love to see most of Africa. Such an underrated continent, one time I tried sorting after top posts of all time on this sub and stopping when I found the first African one. I gave up after 20-30 minutes of scrolling.
