Its more political rather than not having looked at a map. Many people here say the same (of which im not one of). Our culture is basically a perfect 50/50 mix, pizza and risotto right next to schnitzel and knödl.

How long are you staying? Largely dependent on that.

Oh! You must've known Charles Moss then? I think I remember the land being purchased by the the Nature Conservancy around late 70s early 80s.

My wife is a flight attendant and we’ve traveled quite a bit of places. Dolomites is legit the place where we say we’d go once a year. It’s incredible.

The last time I went snowboarding was on those mountains. I made the mistake of listening to the friend of my friend, who was one of those "I've been doing this my whole life, so I know the right way" kind of guys.
I had gone through the terrain park once, no issues. This fucknuckle of a turtle tit tells me how I'm supposed to land on a certain part of the jump to do it the right way and that I needed to be going faster to accomplish said goal.
Long story short, I hit the top of the jump wrong, and was basically in a "V" position 20ft in the air. I tried to break my fall a bit by putting my arm out, thinking I could at least get myself to roll with the fall. I bloodied my mouth, injured my shoulder, tweaked my back, smacked the holy fuck out of my hip....you get the idea. I didn't break anything, but I sure couldn't move my arm for a few days.

It was truly magical. Thunderstorms were the absolute best. We had a great view of the length of mountains from our bathroom window. A huge window with shutters you could sit on the edge of. The bathroom was quite big as well as it was a farmhouse that had been half converted from part of the attached barn. All tiled. When the thunder rumbled it would sound SO amazing in there, and the mountains lit up some with each strike depending on where the storm was. Just awesome! I always wanted to buy that house if it ever ended up on the market, but it was remodeled when we moved out and is probably a half a million euro now. I still keep an eye on the area though XD Italy would likely never let me immigrate there since I’m fully disabled, but I may get lucky and my partner could find a civilian job at Aviano.
There are few places in the US that are awesome as that place, and certainly not many that are affordable enough to live at.

I cycled in the area around Tres Cime for a week and never saw them! Somehow they were always in the clouds when I was around there, even though the weather was great.

I love how you claim intellectual superiority over Americans yet you say stupid shit like this. How's that for irony?
