Literally saw this and said “oh that’s a little north of me” best view ever!

The framing is nice. The lighting is passable. Was about to move on and then saw the little thumb on the branch perfectly pointing to/aligning to the rock jutting out of the water to the left of the main peninsula. That detail makes my brain very happy.

Definitely worth the stop if you’re into history at all. Well preserved boom town

Commonly known as the 3 Bears Falls or Upper Waikani Falls! This is a lovely angle! You park off the Hana highway and cross under a bridge to get to it.

That's awesome. I was looking at all of the different colors and layers of rock as we were driving through and wondering how it all formed. Thanks for the informational comment!

Such a beautiful place. So sad people are trying to close off public access to so much of it 😢

That's not snow, that's ice. All glacier. It's always there. Rainier has more permanent glacial ice than all of the other volcanoes in the Cascades combined.

Really enjoyed hetch hetchy last time I was out there if you’re looking for something interesting, off the beaten path, and with almost zero people even on a busy fall weekend

I like how it’s just a trickle of a waterfall. Like the cliff is relieving itself.

That is disappointing, competing for parking spots is not fun. I haven't heard of Jerome but it looks really cool, I'll have to add it to my list of places.
