Those electrical scars are horrifying. I can't even imagine how powerful they truly must've been.

One of my favorite areas on earth. Been on this bridge and all over those mountains and this river. Breathtaking in person and it pleases me to see this on reddit!

I helped build trail near there in the Yaak Valley. Beautiful place!

That really highlights how the drainage system occurs into a river.

Drove that stretch once when my wife was interviewing for a job up there (medical field). It was beautiful! We ended up not going up there for reasons that made sense, but damn it is beautiful country.

Expect everyone ends up waking up early and its still crowded. When i was in yosemite people would wake up at 3 am to hike half dome thinking theyll beat crowds but end up with everyone else who thought the same. When i ended up doing it i started at 1pm and passed people coming down the trail but after a while there was no one out there

We did a short hike to the first beach. The signs about the water there are no joke. I dislocated my shoulder fighting waves and rip-tide trying to get out. I think twice before getting into any ocean water after that day.
