BEDCY - very motivating.

It means that pressure creates diamonds.

It means that hardships make you stronger. If life were easy 100% of the time, would you ever have the opportunity to grow or improve?

I really do like this one and I like the basic message behind it.

I would like to propose a rewording:

"Because easy rarely changes you as much as you need to grow."

This is awesome. Because "easy" doesn't improve you is another way to look at it for people getting hung up on the "change" part.
