I’m pretty sure I’ve always seen it quoted as Alexis Carrel, but now I’m not sure

People are obsessed with suffering. It's very 'first world'.

Right? Once you find out you’re immortal death just becomes what it is, a 4D construct that stops your resonance with 3D realities you’re no longer compatible with. There is no ticking time bomb to fear, it was all in your head.

yess i also believe that but even us poor blk ppl can get out of the shit environments through education and a good job. i’ve seen my older sis do it. luck is def a factor but i’m lucky to live in a country that makes opportunities accessible for disadvantaged students and stuff. ik that’s not the case everywhere but even worst case scenario it will still get u further than if u don’t put in effort

Somewhat disagree.
Gladwell has done great studies on this, and while drive will generally help, there is a major component of luck (timing, being born into the right family, knowing the right people, having access to support systems) involved in anyones success.
It's drive and luck

Discipline won’t get you anywhere you want.
I don’t care how disciplined he got, Shaq would never get to be a jockey in the Kentucky Derby.
But…discipline will let you go further than you ever could without it.

Congratulations on your journey. It's really refreshing to read your story, but please keep in mind that there's a great variety of situations and some people have barriers in their lifes such as depression and other problems that keep them from getting in a good place.

I'm thinking of making this but with the averages of my grandparents worked in as a tighter reminder. Also perhaps the average life expectancy for when I was born.
It does not mean you will get to a line or that you will not pass it by far. But it provides some context. Rather then some random 100 or 110 years.

Very interesting.
Would you say that a lack of discipline, is why so many Jews died in the holocaust?
Because as you say, discipline will get you ANYwhere.
Thanks!
