I played Everlong. I just love that song. Then I think I hit Breakout and Hero.

I agree on some level, but you are totally in the wrong sub.

It was that you wanted that and that you achieved it, through your own effort. If you'd gone up there hoping to find that want, hoping to find the Foo Fighters, you would've been disappointed. But you brought that with you.
What songs did you play?

I can relate to both sentiments you shared!
I definitely went through a period where I wanted to get my “act” together and stop being a certain way in certain scenarios
I also feel like I wouldn’t trade my negative experiences for better ones, even if I could, because then I just wouldn’t be me today. Me now can handle things that I couldn’t before because of those. So it’s bitter sweet
Thanks for sharing that!😄

Climbing the mountain and realising this is all part of the process.
Wherever you travel, you always bring yourself with you.

Social awareness. I look back and cringe at how I acted in certain situations and how oblivious I was. Unfortunately, a bad experience really helped me think about who I am as a person. It’s made me ruminate a bit too much, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. It’s extremely satisfying to learn from our mistakes and recognize our own growth.

If you want a literal detox of your brain then try the lion diet: eat only ribeye steaks with salt and drink only water. After 90 days you’ll feel like a completely new person.

I beg to differ. I went to Colorado to ski a few weeks back. I got off the gondola, queued up the Foo Fighters and sailed down…I’ve wanted to do that for about 40 years. There was plenty of zen up there.

This reminds me of the Adam Sandler snl skit where he is a travel agent and he keeps saying “if you are sad now, you will still be the same sad person on vacation”

Works for me. I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else because of it.
I could make an excuse up to leave work if I wanted. It’s that easy, and I haven’t done that by the way, just an example. It’s very laid back, I come to work do my job, go home. If my wife calls, I answer it.

I have literally lost that drive to do anything at all. Consequences be damned. I can’t even truck myself into maintenance on my cars hardly. It’s getting worse too.
