It took me too long to realize this, but something I think a lot of us fail to realize when we are young is that old people frequently don't feel like a different, old person on the inside. Almost everyone I talk to, whether they're 30 or 95, still internally feel like the person they were when they were young—just in a body that doesn't want to keep up.

I say this as a reminder that if you're waiting for a moment to feel older and more mature, you may miss out on opportunities to do what you truly want to with your life.

Likewise, it's a good reminder to treat everyone as equally valuable of your time. If you're 25 and talking to a 50 year old, remember that their internal version of themselves may not be too different than what you're feeling internally. :)
