Water will dilute your stomach acid and reduce the bad taste and the painful acid burns in your throat. If you really think your going to throw up then chances are you’re GOING to throw up anyway, so start drinking as much water as possible even if it makes you feel more nauseous. The water may increase your chances of vomiting and the volume of the vomit but it worth it since stomach acid can be incredibly painful for hours afterwards and you can taste it for hours after too. Water makes the best of a bad situation.

If you do get acid burns in your throat then yoghurt will provide temporary relief as it coats your throat -don’t drink after eating yoghurt since it will wash it away and you’ll hurt again.
