I don't. Anticipating the worst all the time leads to a bunker mentality that leaves people feeling hopeless and limited in their options.

Then you use it earlier in the year. Pretty simple really. Also I think you missed a "not" maybe try proofreading.

Honestly you don’t need to a actively read the news to be up to date, if someone says ‘have you heard about x’ just say no and they will tell you. Now you know anything worth talking to others about

Having to save PTO? I've currently saved up to get away for three months...
I don't know anyone who lacks PTO. Is this LPT a regional thing?

How long do you boil it for?

Daycare closed the entire week between Christmas and new years so essentially forced to save PTO to use that week.

I’ve not seen my doctor in years soooo I can’t imagine I’d need this LPT.

Think of older people or those with multiple comorbidities/problems. They often see multiple providers in a month/week/day.

Same here. I'm a real estate accountant and this week is dead. No one is making deals, buying property, etc., they're just waiting for the new year. I checked my inbox yesterday and only had 10 emails, instead of the usual 80-100 I would have if I took off any other time of the year.

I can't imagine someone making a doctor's appointment and forgetting what it was for.

My guess would be you're not assembled proper.
Just a guess.

3 week wait for a non urgent appointment atm where I live. I have multiple health issues and could easily forgot what a specific appointment is for.
