Reply to LPT: When making a doctors (or other health professional) appointment, make a brief note in your calendar about what it was for. by _unknown_username
I don't think it's just for remembering why you're going to the doctor's but more like have a timeline of your symptoms/ diseases so that in the future if you're ill and a health professional asks for your history, you could pinpoint when certain symptoms started etc.

Reply to LPT request - Sleeping on your back by Walauyavishum
Make sure you put something under your knees (a sturdy pillow, a rolled up blanket) when on your back. Having your legs flat puts a lot of strain on your back and is uncomfortable. Also propping your arms up on pillows on either side. Basically make a nest so you kind of stay there. Elevating your upper body so you are slightly sitting up can help too.
Have had to sleep on my back and that is not my natural sleep position.

Bananas containing high potassium is a widely publicised myth.
It actually ranks poorly for potassium content, according to a video I saw on www.nutritionfacts.org from Dr Greger

Reply to LPT: If you work an office job, save your time off for non-holiday seasons by supermagicpants
This is completely dependent on what type of job/industry you work in. Until just a few weeks ago, I worked in the hospitality industry for resorts and hotels throughout the US for about 35 years. The period around Christmas and New Year’s Eve was always unofficially blacked out for PTO, because it’s one of the busiest times of the whole year. Just recently, I transitioned into education, working for a higher learning institution, and it’s the exact opposite- we follow the local county public school schedule, and everyone gets two weeks off paid at the end of the year. Quite a change after all that time as a rise and grinder

This. I work an office job with a lot of Americans overseas, and last year at Christmas I was the only one in the office. It could have been slow, but thanks to the nature of the work we had several emergencies in that time period that I was handling solo.
THEN, they all got Omicron at their Christmas and New Years gatherings and were stranded back in the States for a few more weeks while I got pummeled with work. That's (I hope) a less likely situation in future years, but my holidays last year were a mess.
At least it earned me a stellar yearly review.

Reply to LPT request - When you have a piece of gum, keep the wrapper in your pocket so you have something to put it in if there’s no trash bins around This saves you from sticking it under tables, littering, or chewing on it longer than you want until you see a trash bin. Just swallow the damned thing. It ain't going to hurt you or "stay in your gut for 7 years."

Been doing this for 10 years strong. Strongly stand behind this advice if you have a job that enables you too.

Look, I may not be that physically fit, but I can handle 12 seconds of exercise without cramping up.

Those symptoms sound very similar to when our dog had Lymphoma, the losing body weight, diarrhea, general lethargy, we scheduled at home euthanasia and 2 weeks later he started to limp around and fall down when walking. If you can take her to the vet and get her healed that is great but at a certain point you are only prolonging her suffering and delaying the inevitable.

Nope. Did this last year and got all the work because everybody was on leave. It depends on the industry and nature of your work

go out and do things in the community. for example, go to a young adult group at a church (rly great people there) , go volunteer at for example an animal shelter. you could also make friends by being a regular at some spots, i know several baristas who have favorite customers b/c they show up so often and are polite. i hope this helps!

Kids just walk up and start talking to other kids and ask if they want to be friends.
Somewhere around middle school, we lose the confidence to do that.
As an adult with little fucks to give, I walk up and shake hands. Of course, being somewhere doing shared hobbies makes this significantly easier than the bus stop.

Have you tried a more firm bed? I'm a back sleeper and noticed back pain when the mattress had sagged a bit in the middle.
Then I got a new memory foam mattress (on sale) that is firm and the back pain is gone.
Add in some light exercise and you'll feel like a new person
