My fix was a ketoconazole shampoo once a week/two weeks with a selenium sulfide shampoo the rest of the time.

I've found that lather, rinse, repeat has been pretty effective for flake control using regular ol' head and shoulders, the key element being repeat.

Ask questions and listen to the answers. And then ask more questions based on the answers. Basic communication 101. Just be an engaging person that’s interested in the conversation. This works for men and women alike.
And when I say “ask questions,” I should clarify: this means normal questions. Not “do you have any school girl fantasies?” But more like “if we were to plug in your iPod right now, what’s the first artist we’d hear?” (For all the creepy ones out there, that’s just another way to ask what kind of music they like)

There are different types of scalp flakes so it may not be dandruff.
I mix baking soda with my shampoo at time of application and it helps a lot. Not sure why.

Great tip, OP! I use an electric leaf blower to blow out my vent a couple times a year 😊
Also be aware (in the US) that your 240-volt circuit breaker may be in a different spot than your normal circuit breaker. Mine is outside by the electric meter.
