Same goes for bars and pubs man. Never drink from the neck of a bottle before wiping. Dangerous bacteria found in rat urine.

Whoops. Forgot what sub I was in. I’ve added the location for the specific rent controls I mentioned.
Rent control is vastly different depending on where you life, so checking local laws is a good idea.

One thing to note is newer cars that either have LED or were offered with an LED option should have lamp failure warning on the dashboard and most likely will not blink faster.
Also make sure that you clean your lights especially as we head into winter with all of the road salt. If you have to use windshield wash your lights need cleaning.
Last point is if your headlights start to get cloudy you can easily clear up with car polish rubbing compound. The silly piece clear plastic can cost upward of $1000 so they are worth maintaining.

Reply to LPT REQUEST: What to say when someone brings up the death of their loved one that happened years ago. by Interesting_Ad7785
Offer condolences but then say “what was their name?”, sometimes the person will break into a funny or heartwarming story but mostly it just calls out to the universe that they’re still here.
I heard a while ago that we die twice; once physically and once the last time we are remembered. Give them a chance to remember again.

Don’t spend any money for the first 2-3 months. Buy cheap food and establish a 2 months rent savings account. Makes life less stressful When you have a short term fail safe.

You can also check them in the reflection of the car in front of you at a stoplight. I check the rears whenever one of those big ass trucks with the chrome grill is behind me.

Hmmm. I don’t think they’re particularky thick, but you’re right. My seconds are the holes losing earrings the most and they’re higher up in a thicker spot.
But my lower lobes are going rogue as well, higher rate but not as ridiculous as the upper ones. My regular lower lobes have been fine for years and they have been regularly losing leverbacks too.
Still it feels like the studs do have their butterfly back “click” into the post recess even on my seconds. They always feel secure when I first put them in, anyways!

Good one! I squeezed an extra couple thousand a year on my salary in a transfer to a new job because I was friendly with Payroll over the years, worked close with them, helped them when they needed it. Then asked when I got the new position and they found I technically qualified for more than the offering. Little rules and classifications that would have gone overlooked if they didn't take an extra half hour of research for a friend.

Here in Canada it’s pretty clear on the front of the box for both so I was in fact dumb, I can take that in stride haha.

There are stud screwback earrings like this:
https://berylfinejewelry.com/product/14kw-round-diamond-stud-earrings-1-00-ct-tw-screw-back/
Which I went out of my way to get a few of these as I figured their escape risk was low, and these were the first to disappear. 😭
And leverbacks, they have a lever that just closes them. I have been losing these less than the studs, but they have been somehow getting pulled open and escaping during the day as well. Which is surprisingly because they need a good bit of pressure to open.
May be worth still looking into, as these both were actually fine for years. It’s since November that all of my earrings have been falling out - and I cannot find a cause. My husband suggested it was my hair, but nothing should have changed so drastically in such a short time.

You’re not an idiot. In America it contains diphenhydramine but not in the uk so that maybe where the mix up came

Careful - rent control is specific to where you live. Unless you’re friends with op, there’s a good chance the rent control rules are very different for them. For many people, rent control is only on buildings built prior to 1970. But I agree they should check their local laws.

Reply to LPT: In newyear instead of getting expensive Gym membership, just buy 30$ worth of dumbbells, this will also keep you in habit of excercise by [deleted]
Something easy that requires no exercise equipment whatsoever. Actively engage your muscles when doing anything. Grabbing a glass; flex your lats and triceps. Picking something off the floor, flex your legs and abs. Driving; flex your quads, grip your steering wheel using your forearms. Seems simple but it actually works.

$30 worth of dumbbells is literally nothing.
Just save your money and go for a 30 minute walk everyday if you're not getting enough exercise

Other person mentioned already, but a lot of products that claim to be beneficial (or just suggest it) aren’t really, such as “essential” oils.
People with asthma can be triggered by them (due to the VOCs they release) which (imo) means even healthy people should probably avoid. I came here to post the same thing.
When I was in college getting my Computer Science degree, whenever I was stumped on a programming project, I would try to explain the problem to my wife, who had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. Sometimes I would even pull out a dry erase board to draw the problem for her. Every time, I would be in the middle of explaining it to her and have one of those eureka moments and run to code the solution that I just came up with in my head while explaining it.
I still do this to this day when working on a project for work as a software engineer. It happens less and less, but it still happens.

An easy way to earn trust is to admit mistakes. I have never looked down at anyone that admitted fault. I can’t say the same for the reverse.
