Does this apply to the rest of North America or only the United States?

I just wash my hands with my urine. Is it necessary? No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste.
koroifox t1_j2fbpv2 wrote
I can understand the before, but always do it after. I don’t know where you privates have been, and I’d rather not find out the hard way. Regardless of whether or not your pee is sterile it’s still better to do it after. Do you want to eat with pee filled hands?

Best just wash everything in our environment and then we don't need to wash our hands.

Sydney, Australia goes all out on the NYE fireworks, and with the time zones, it's one of the earliest.

Watching them on TV is nothing like taking a walk down to the boardwalk.

No? You could take them to doctors appointments, to lunch, shopping . Unless there abusive just do it. You don’t know how it feels to be an old person with family that doesn’t care. It really hurts just to watch I can’t imagine the pain

Reply to LPT request: Moving out of the city for the first time at 18 in a rented apartment, any tips? by GauravxAg
If your kitchen and living room are attached (or you spend a lot of time in the kitchen), get a dehumidifier. Stops the room from filling with steam when you are boiling stuff. The plastic ones with the beads are fine so long as there's no pre-existing damp issues

Take all of this advice with a grain of salt. It's not bad, but it may not be for you. Moving out is a Big Deal, but it's also just a first step. Maybe this is your first in a string of apartments. Maybe you move back in with your parents for a while. Maybe you get into a bigger place the next time you move.
The maybe list is basically infinite. The people here are trying to give advice based on their personal journey. It's all well intentioned and solid advice, but if it doesn't fit you then move to the next piece.
You make the rules now (some of them)

Well said. Also, 'keep your enemies closer' really means 'keep everyone closer' - you always have to keep track of others' mistakes so you can arm yourself with them when things go wrong and the fingerpointing starts.
