They are also great for storing earrings, for example. And I've heard people use them for paint, mixing paint in them and storing it.

Honestly it's feeling like riots are about all that works. Audrey's murderers got arrested for fear of riots. There were definite rumblings.

Don't stick your dick in crazy. I have a 12 year old daughter that has been abused and neglected by her mother her whole life and no one will do anything about it because it's "not that bad"

Use sunscreen. Get a job. Invest early. In a few years, live somewhere different.

Be careful with this though… leaving earlier than everyone else can carry negative impressions as well. It’s a high wire balance to achieve of coming in and leaving times such that the perception (which is all that matters) isn’t negatively effected.

Employers in America are required to give you a lunch break.

It had to come. My company employs an excessive number of “analysts.” We have entire redundant departments full of spreadsheet jockeys who are now scrambling to prove their value.

I assume 12% (avg return for S&P 500 since inception to 2021), and retire at 72

Whatever you do, don’t have any run ins with the law. At a very high level, get a lay of it.

Yep! And I typically get to avoid rush hour by leaving earlier, saving me another 30+ minutes of sitting in traffic. I also get to utilize OP’s tip because my lunch break is an hour before everyone else’s. So when I come back from mine, most of them are leaving for theirs and I get some more time to myself.

If you're terminated make sure you file for unemployment then if approved take a bit of time off, while off try applying for the ideal jobs you want as opposed to jobs you need to better improve your next career option.

Heck yeah. I do this too and it is a game changer. I get there an hour before everyone else , tidy up the office, brew some nice herbal tea, read something positive. Get my head in the right space and make a list of the day’s actionable items.
And I leave an hour earlier too, which is awesome cuz I wake up at like 0500. So by mid afternoon I’m used up and right about that time is when I generally split.

SPY since 93 has a CAGR of ~9.5% and US large cap since 72 ~10.22% (and this is without accounting for inflation)
You would need to be incredibly lucky to have a long term return of 12%, most people agree that 8% is a realistic return rate over a lifetime but you should still plan for 4-6% because you can’t know which end of the average you’ll fall in.
But yeah if you got 12% average for 56 years then you’d have a million with 2k put in today
