Are you talking about wrestling, home improvement shows, or the news? Sometimes it's hard to tell.

Reply to LPT Request: Healthcare providers & staff, what gift/gesture can patients give to show gratitude after a complicated birth by vco19
Physician here! A note with a picture of the family will go up in the lounge or offices. Food is deeply appreciated and it’s awesome if it’s delivered in two different shifts for day team (7 am start time) and night team (7 pm). Then, a detailed letter with names to HR so that they can be recognized by administrators (helpful for bonuses, awards, promotions.)

And, for the love of fucking goodness, don’t use your damn cell phone. Splurge and pay a photographer to come out and take nice photos. Ask them if they have a drone for getting quality photos of the roof.
Sincerely, a MN licensed real estate agent

Ya unfortunately that attitude was prevalent in the circles I was in. Nobody really connected because we were all pretending to be interested but couldn't care less.
I'm a very different person now than I was, and for the most part it's been positive changes.

What is your aim? To show support? To redirect? Or to avoid it entirely?

So me putting $20 in my extra withheld isn’t necessarily a bad thing because it balances out?

Other peoples pronouns aren’t about you. Don’t overthink it.
Call people what they like to be called. It’s not that hard to be a decent person. It’s one of the most basic forms of respect for a person.

All depends on your withholdings, deductions and credits. Typically, most people take the standard deduction as they don’t have enough things to itemize and reduce your overall tax liability. Some people are eligible for tax credits. This is usually how people get back thousands in a refund, without paying in a bunch, during the year.
The idea is to owe 0 and get back 0. This means your withholdings are spot on and you’re getting the most money back in your paycheck during the year.
If you owe, you need to adjust your withholdings, depending upon the amount you owe. Up to you if you want to pay a bill or not. For the people who get thousands back in a refund. It’s not necessarily because they overpaid during the year. It’s usually because they qualify for credits like earned income or child tax credits. It’s additional money. Not money they paid in and is being returned.

Refinancing is an interesting option that I don't know much about. Have you refinanced? I was concerned about fees cancelling out some of the gains if I did it at the wrong time

Easily 4-5 days, hotels back to back. And these are cheap hotels, you get a bed and a bathroom and that's it. Most of the times not even a TV, so working with very limited resources.

When prices have been falling, you might find there is a better choice of property to compare, and can pick and choose more easily, and more time to consider.
When prices have been rising and people are panic buying, you can't take the time to consider carefully and there may be little choice at any one time, and might get rushed into a suboptimal choice.

Yes, you can keep it that way. It won’t hurt you. If you start getting a refund, without applying any credits or deductions, at the time you file, then you can remove the $20. It would be overpaying at that point.
