Isn't this pretty crazy? The government is saying "hey, you can easily do your taxes for free on our website... But only if you make less than $73k, everyone else needs to either do it the manual way, or pay our buds at H&R Block".

I can tell you, I did my taxes before I made $73k and after I made over that amount and there is no difference in the effort put in to complete my taxes each year. There's no reason there should be an income limit on using this tool from the IRS other than the tax prep lobby.

Never thought about it like that. Thanks! I'll have to look this up. Personally I'm trying to run to get a little more in shape too and I do this exact mistake. I tell myself I HAVE to do it and I have no choice.

Most of the corrosion happens while the steel is exposed to the liquid vinegar. Once the vinegar evaporates you’d have a pitted texture with rust. Imagine that’s sample A and we have sample B that’s the same but after that first flash-rust, we rinsed and neutralized sample B. From that point on, I think sample A might corrode faster due to remnant vinegar but I’m not sure, and I imagine that if it did, the corrosion rates of the two samples would equalize after some time.

Edit - to explain further, what makes vinegar increase future corrosion is the rough surface finish it creates at initial exposure. The smoother the surface, the more resistant the surface is to rust. Sandblasting is exactly the same (it removes rust, but also primes the steel for increased future rust).

I understand that you do not NEED those things to be healthier. But I listed all the things that I personally spend money on to better make my point.

My point being that a healthy lifestyle is not cheap, and that one shouldn't quit alcohol with the idea that you will save money or else you may be discouraged and go back to the drinking.

Make the move for your health not wealth.

I drank a six pack of IPA 🍺 per week. Cost like $10-12 for the sixer, so $40-48 monthly. But quitting alcohol, and focusing on health, has been hella expensive! Much more than $40-48 per month.

Shit that was about what just the gym membership alone cost me.

I guess I underestimated how much many people may be spending on booze?
