I enrolled in community college when I was 33 (2012) because I was bored with my shitty job. Couldn’t test out of math 65. Six years later I was graduating with a physics/math BA, took a lot of work and dedication but was totally worth it. I have cool job in electron microscopy. I’ll never be bored ever again, don’t give up!!!

Be careful with this. These conversation engines can create something that sounds reasonable, but are actually close to nonsense. I cannot always tell the difference between a ChatGPT paragraph and one written by a random Internet user, but I can tell the difference between a ChatGPT paragraph and one written by someone who is knowledgeable in a field I am very familiar with.
It might be a good way to create a framework, but since cover letters are ultimately read by people, even a minor mistake might be enough for a potential interviewer to decide to not bring you in.
At the very least, make sure you have the entire cover letter memorized. It is really embarrassing when a candidate seems to not be aware of what their cover letter and CV say.

I got my associates from a community college in 1991. Went to a 4 year school for a bit after, but just got tired of it and stopped going. After bouncing around a few jobs, I got hired at my current company (29 years and still going). When I was hired, I literally made less than the co-ops/interns. Had to prove myself, over and over, to work my way up...for years, I was working beyond my compensation and every time I tried to bring that up, I was beat down with the "you don't have your degree, yet...just go back to school and get it". Well, I didn't and I've still arrived at a very good place....it just took me longer to get here.
One thing to bear in mind is the Golden Rule. "He who has the gold, makes and/or breaks the rules." If you can find someone willing to pay you what you want, then you can either go there or use that as leverage to get raises/promotions. You have to actively work it, it won't just come to you. But you definitely can succeed.
My recommendation, though, would be to finish the degree. It just removes that from being used against you and it'll pay off again and again over your career.
Good luck!

That's strange cause I've heard it recommended when with groups to talk loud that way you don't spook a bear and one into one randomly.

Currently in a CC program for paramedicine/firefighting. Having the time of my life. For me it was finding what I wanted to do with my life, not about the “prestige” of the program. A lot of firefighters I know only have associates. That’s a great job to me :) keep your head up!!

Guy was only drinking a six pack a week that’s basically giving up alcohol already. Doctors and cops wouldn’t even register that.

You listen and geniunly care about what they have to say. You there to hear eatch other, not use then as a vent to tell your whole life

The trick is to maintain eye contact with another rider in the subway while doing the kegel exercises.

I have seen this maybe a handful of times…it’s more important to have a pretty face and an “exciting” profile. Beyond that do you really want someone like that? Discard the ones who make a list of requirements, ask for social media follows, or make their politics their whole identity. Have some self respect. Trust.

Multiply the average cost of a liver transplant by the change in your likelihood of needing one with and without alcohol. Do same for other alcohol-related medical expenses. Add that into your "savings" column :)

Sounds like you're better at manipulating than at having a conversation and I'm not sure why anyone would be proud of that.

I graduated with an Associates degree and I've made it to a nice, respectable position in a fortune 500 company. A degree isn't everything. It can help, depending on what you're trying to do, but it isn't life-ending to be without one.

I’ll do you one better, I actually type out the entire email in a word document first, make all my corrections and edits there, then just copy and paste the whole thing and send it off. Just a little added security when you’re typing up sensitive emails where it’s imperative every detail is perfect.
