Cleaning and tidying are habits, just like most daily activities. You can teach yourself to do it if you really care to.

Set an alarm two or three times a day with a fifteen minute timer. When the alarm goes off, spend that fifteen minutes cleaning something. It will be annoying as hell at first-and that's kinda the point, lol. Hopefully it'll annoy you enough that you'll start doing all those little cleaning tasks as you see them throughout the day instead of waiting for the alarm to do them.

I love that you know you and she aren’t having the same outlook. Kudos to not only being self-aware but wanting to address it before it becomes a huge relationship issue.

Be the hero. Sit down and talk about it. She likes to tidy when done w a meal. Makes cooking the next meal, in a clean kitchen, so much easier! What you can do is find the 5 tasks she hates. Own them. If she hates bathrooms then you become the bathroom king w an agreed upon frequency. That’s the trade off. She never has to do the bathrooms again but she can’t say anything if you stick to the agreed upon frequency which is weekly. Pushed to 10 days absolute max and know she will get itchy after day 7.

Find something that balances out the housework. As you know, it never ends. Good luck.

Communicate. Do your ways bother her? What are her expectations? My partner and I know each others strengths and weaknesses so it’s pretty straightforward what I need to work on vs what she doesn’t care about. There’s a good chance she knows it’s not your strong suit but it doesn’t bother her. Over communicate, I promise it will be the best thing for your marriage.

It worked great for me on an awesome pair of leather sandals.

If this doesnt work, sock the jacket according to the manufacturer directions but first soak it for a few hours w a cup or so vinegar in the washer. It worked great for me when a family member had urine soaked clothes that were in a bag for days (post hospital admission). Washed those clothes 4 times and was ready to toss them. Did the vinegar soak followed by a regular wash and there was zero detectable smell! I was also ready to just toss the clothes so had nothing to lose.

Another though-have you tried febreeze?

There are some great muscle balms for sore muscles, saje wellness has both a muscle melt and rub on roller that are great. Some Chinese herbal shops will have oils that are amazing for sore muscles as well, also can be bought on Amazon.

Muscle relaxants can help when taken for short durations 5-7 days.

Acupuncture can be a great tool if you find a experienced practitioner.

A buckwheat pillow may help. Some people find them incredibly useful and will never go back to a traditional pillow after using one.

Avoid chiropractors. If the problem persists, a sports medicine doctor or physical therapist may be able to help guide you with some targeted stretches and develop a routine to alleviate soreness/muscle tension while building up strength.

All the best!

Don't know if it's the cause for you but I had neck pain from poor posture and rounded shoulders. It wasn't an easy and quick fix. Began sleeping on my back instead of my side. Did chin tucks, chest stretches, face pulls, anything that is supposed to help with posture. Took months before I started feeling better. It'll take a lot of patience.

My daughter had an issue like that in high school. I took her (machine washable) clothes and put them in a tub with very warm water and a scoop of that powdered oxy clean, and let it soak for a couple hours, and that really helped. Then put them through a regular wash cycle. Good luck!

I drive the same around any vehicle, lawfully, and with care. It's why I've only been in one accident as a passenger, never ad a driver, and zero tickets to my name. There is no extra care required if the other vehicle is also driving lawfully and carefully.

Semi truck and trailers, I have a different view entirely. I feel that they should have complete right-of-way in almost any circumstance given that they're the largest thing on the road. I don't think they should be allowed to ignore common laws, but the frequency of videos showing dashcam footage of some yahoo swerving in front of a semi and brake checking is too damn high. Those drivers can't stop on a dime and the smaller vehicles getting rear-ended win most of the cases where a dash cam is not in use. So my stance would be to make semi drivers no-fault entirely and that'll force people to be a little less gung-ho to mess with them.

Down is tougher. Follow any washing instructions maybe? First I would put it into a plastic bag and stick it in the freezer for 2 days. This kills the bacteria causing the stank. Works great w shoes I can’t see why it wouldn’t work w a jacket. I would turn it inside out first. Good luck!

We had a household once where we took turns doing the dishes. It was your turn until you did all of them. If you waited a coupla days it was still your turn, but the stack was higher. Kind of self limiting behavior for the slackers.
