Clean all the things that you can see, and leave the things you can't see to her.

I'm not really concerned how you'd sound, I'm concerned about which one it is.
Remember when I told you...? Oh you do remember? Do you know that you said that it was your idea?
Or: Oh you don't remember? Yeah we were here and you said this and I said this.
And optionally: Oh you still don't remember? Mhm.
Disclaimer: I'm asocial and this is not social interaction advice XD

TERRIBLE ADVICE. Many devices do not work this way, many devices are connected to alarm systems and though you may not hear it, it could sending an alarm to your alarm company to send the fire department, which can be very costly. If your smoke detector is going off when it shouldn't be, it's either operator error because youre or poor installation which you are supposed to move the detector to the appropriate distance so it doesn't go off in error. Contact an alarm technician if you're unsure and let your alarm company know you're mucking with sensors on your system if you are monitored, or have them come take care of it for you. Edit: often you will find a button on a smoke detector that is used as a 'test' button, which sends an alarm signal to the alarm company, you can inadvertently tell your alarm company to send the fire department.

Just do it not for you but for her. I too build to the point of action, but I had to do the right after for the sake of peace (and piece).

I just place a fan under it to push air away while I'm cooking

My parents home was always neat as a pin. Dad vacuumed every day (did the heavy lifting things) mom was in charge of the kitchen. Beds always made and yard always looked great. It’s just how they rolled. So I think it’s teamwork. You being tuned in to this is fantastic!

Hahaha you see my dilemma? I want to bring this up to him in a way that doesn't accuse him of anything while still holding my ground and demonstrating my boundaries.

I think so far, this answer is the most "me". I kind of want to see what they have to say before jumping to any conclusions.
It could have somehow been an honest mistake... I know this coworker to get nervous when speaking at meetings and I could see that causing him to misspeak.

Thanks for saying this. I do find I have been bullied at work in the past and want to ensure history doesn't repeat itself there.
One concern I had with bringing it up is that they could gaslight me and say I was remembering it wrong. Now I see why it could be good to bring it up immediately. I didn't say anything in the moment because I felt angry and knew I should step back from the situation before acting.

Sorry, I wrote wrong, and never meant to single you. I've edited the offending comment.
You are correct of course. And I'm free to end my engagement on what is a matter of opinion. I'm not here to change anyone's mind.
Thanks for your time.

That's really useful! It's great to know that users can control their data usage like that.

Interesting. I was initially worried that not bringing it up could signal that I am willing to accept that behaviour.

IMO, there's not much point in bringing it up. The damage has already been done. This person has proven themselves untrustworthy and you should avoid sharing future ideas with them directly before ensuring you have claimed credit for the ideas with those who matter.
By bringing it up with them you will let them know that you picked up on what they did, which will put them on their guard and potentially make them see you as an adversary to watch. If you don't bring it up then they will see you as oblivious, which may make them less guarded. Better to leave them underestimating you.

I pay $100 for three hours (cash in hand) and this is Australia which is stupidly expensive. The cleaner does my 4 bed, 2 bath house in that time and helps us stay on top of things. There must be somewhere? I checked the classifieds to find mine. Gumtree online. Your equivalent would be Facebook marketplace (if they have a cleaning category) or Craigslist. I found that actual companies also advertise using these because it's free. Obviously with Craigslist use caution and ask to see evidence of police checks and bonded and insured that type of thing. For me, my insurance covers the cleaner and I just made sure she had a police check done. She's a lovely lady and has been very reliable.
