I really only focus on people who try to two-up me. It's silly you're worried about the one-uppers.

But seriously, I've had success just bringing them into the tent with you (if it's not a crazy toxic level or you can't cut them out). If you went on a hike but they went on a harder one...celebrate that you both like hiking! Most people doing that behavior are insecure about themselves, so help them feel secure and they'll not feel the need to do it (hopefully)

And for goodness' sake don't share the rubber inserts!!

I get it, they fall off, they're easy to lose. I knew one guy in college who said when he needed a replacement he would just walk around campus staring at the floor or in corners until he found one that someone else had lost, and then just use that.

🤮

You wouldn't share your nose boogers; ear gunkies are not any better.

edit: a typo

At this point, it's sort of like the most productive way of opening a banana is actually the opposite end that everyone was raised to think it was. I know the correct way, but I'm just not going to do it.

Well this LPT makes sense, I just don't think I can delay it while watching everyone else drink coffee. That and the probably minimal, yet potently annoying hunt for coffee that is usually finished off by the afternoon by everyone else.

THANK YOU for this suggestion. I had a horribly embarrassing and unfortunate situation that happened to me a few years ago at a Dollar General. I would NEVER enter a restroom that is out of order. I was in the most desperate "need-to-go" emergency I've ever been in. This is a one toilet room. I almost didn't make it because I had to go sooooo bad. It was also an emergency poo situation that came on suddenly and I had mere seconds to find a restroom. I get inside, lock the door, sit down and do my business. It was the largest "chocolate soft serve ice cream" poo I had ever done. At the very end I see a small corner shelf right in front of me. I notice there is a toilet handle with the whole flushing handle mechanism sitting there. Suddenly I had a horrifying thought. This surely cannot be the handle for the toilet I am on! I slowly stand up, look behind, and sure as shit it IS the handle. That's not all. Not even close to being all. It is at this point I realized that in my desperate need to not shit my pants I didn't see that the BACK TANK LID WAS OFF AND THERE WAS NO WATER IN THERE, NOR IN THE BOWL. I had just done the equivalent of going into Lowe's and shitting in a display toilet. PANIC...PANIC...PANIC...WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO???? It's at that moment I see a neon pink paper on the floor. I pick it up. On the other side there is a handwritten sign that says Out Of Order. The damn sign had been taped on the outside door, came off, and slipped under the door. WTF am I supposed to do now? I can't flush it! Total panic. Like red face, flapping my hands, racing thoughts panic. So what did I do? I peeked out the door, made sure nobody was around, and sprinted out the door. WHY WAS THE DOOR NOT LOCKED? WHY WAS THERE NOT A SIGN ON BOTH THE DOOR AND THE TOILET? I just hope they knew enough to fill a bucket with water and put it in the bowl as that would flush it. I hope to god nobody dug it out by hand!!! I did not go back in that store for more than 2 years. Over the years I have told this story and laughed so hard I could barely get it out. Being able to type it out was so much easier. Learn from me, friends, learn from me.

I've had acne all my life. I eventually just got tired of thinking of what everyone thought. Once you let that go. Boy is it a nice freeing feeling. Like the first time you don't wesr make up to work And no one says anything and treats you the same exact way. It's lovely. You can do it. No matter how bad it is. This is about you. Not anyone else. You're beautiful

Just let it go. Some people don’t know they do it. Other people could be just trying to relate to you. There’s very few people who really do try to one up you because those guys are the ones that think life is a competition and are insecure. So express yourself and expect nothing in return. Just be the stronger person.

Especially if you put the powder on both the inside and the outside of the fabric.

If you pop on the grease-busting dish soap afterwards, and leave it for another 15 minutes before you wash you should get it out.

I would be wary about scrubbing the stain in case you ruin the surface of the fabric. If you have to scrub, try scrubbing on the back first.

This. Have to consider that apple just flipped this switch for every iPhone that got the update. One iPhone makes no difference but consider the millions of people with phones that never unflip this switch either because they wanna make a difference or because they had no idea about it.

>Second, Apple just reduces it during "peak times" not matter what is actually used for production of electricity

The Apple support article says otherwise https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT213323

>But your charging your iPhone is not enough, even all owners, to reduce expected demand.

I'm not sure why that is reason to not make a change? Most people most of the time charging at home don't need their phone topped up extremely quickly, and if you do, there's an easy way to override it.

Are we only allowed to make improvements if they're significant?

Sure I'd hate if Apple marketed it as a massive impact, just like when they marketed their "smaller boxes" after taking out chargers. But it is objectively an improvement, even if minor. Plus if Apple, Microsoft, Google and a host of others all incorporate energy saving features, it does have an impact.
