I think most everybody has been "left out" at some point in their lives. I'd be willing to bet that most people get left out of things on a regular basis. That's just a part of life. At a certain point, everybody needs to accept that it's a part of everyday life. Very few of us are going to be included in everything for everybody around us. For me, I accept that it will happen, and I move on. I focus on the things I can control. I focus on the people that do want to spend time with me. It's self-destructive to do anything else with it.

I present: blunt dutch responses

"Congratulations"

"Okay, but it isn't always about you, is it?"

  • Very sarcastically * "wooooow that's amazing!" You're kidding!"

What you can also do, which doesn't escalate the situation as much but what would make you always stand above the other person is just asking why they say that and how that hurts you. Something like "I notice you always talk over me when I try to say something, and it makes me feel a bit shitty. Why do you do that?/do you notice you are doing that?"

This way people instantly feel bad and it's still possible to talk about it in a normal tone.

I know and you’re right. The rational and logical side of me tells me same thing.

The emotional side of me keeps wondering why she invited people who are equally just not as close. I don’t feel left out, I am being left out.

I know I don’t deserve an explanation. But have you ever been left? It hurts so much and I keep thinking negatively about myself.

Here’s what I do and it works great. Use a surfactant, baking soda and a toothbrush. I use Folex cleaner, spray the stain and work baking into the cloth as a paste, scrubbing with the toothbrush a bit. Let it sit overnight at least but a day is about how long I leave it. Wash it with warm water in your machine. Almost always gets out grease on the first go. May take two times. Also works if your garment has previously been washed. Stain remover sprays work better than dish soap but a general surfactant is needed.
