Bad idea unless that scene in Fight Club really turned you on for some reason

Baking soda completely removes it, if you apply it fast enough. It's amazing.

Reply to LPT - Don't know if it's less or fewer? 'Fewer' is a more precise word than "less". Say the sentence in your head, and try "fewer" first. Generally speaking, if that word fits, it is correct. by RPoliticsModsFU

Reply to LPT: Lots of kids are encouraged to dream big. Don't let this become a shackle in adult life, feeling you never fulfilled your "potential." Those dreams were a way to energize you to learn, practice, and focus. They are rarely realistic and don't take into account the complexities of real life. by zazzlekdazzle
Wow, a rare actually great and wide-ranging tip.
These gems are the best thing about this sub, the exact opposite of "clean your lawnmower more easily with this complex and unnecessary trick" or something else oddly specific yet unhelpful.

I rub dawn into stain with my bare fingers most of the time, so I was picturing using lye for the same sort of spot treatment 😂😂😂

Yes, I agree. Maybe just reiterate what OP said in private. Without making a big scene, saying something like "Hey, you're doing that thing again where you're making it seem like you're one upping me, and you're making me feel diminished." There's really nothing to say to that, depending on their reaction, it'll show you whether to cut this person off or not

100% I will never exclude anyone. I’m extremely empathic and can pick up when someone is feeling left out. I always want everyone to feel welcomed.
It’s surprising how unaware some people are… or they really just don’t care.

Reply to LPT Request: how to mail a money to my landlord with absolute proof that money was delivered? by AethericEye
Get a money order from the post office and mail it Certified, Return Receipt. This way the post office has a record of both you purchasing the order, him cashing the order and he has to sign that he received it. You get a postcard back in the mail when he signs.

Reply to LPT: Use alcoholic vinegar instead of fabric softener when washing clothes by MotorDiscipline
This is bad advice!
I read an article from Consumer Reports that says the internal components of a washing machine cannot handle the vinegar on a regular basis. It's fine once in a while though.

If Dawn dish soap doesn't work (and it's pretty darn good) then get a bottle of Lestoil. It's a cleaner like PineSol, but pinesol won't work for this, only Lestoil. Just put some Lestoil on the grease spot then throw it in the wash like normal.
It may smell a bit like Lestoil when it comes out of the washer but after it dries there is no smell left. It is sold at Home Depot and sometimes Walmart, in the cleaning products section. It has gotten out set-in oily stains on clothes that I thought were ruined forever!

Videotape yourself in the post office putting the check in the envelope, sealing it, handing it to the worker, paying for its certified delivery, and your receipt. That's the only way I can see that you can prove the rent was mailed.
Maybe there's a service where you can transfer the money and someone can hand deliver a check to the landlord. Then that service could vouch that it was delivered if the landlord says it wasn't. Like a service that delivers court papers.

Managing the pain is sometimes harder than the pain itself - you're already dealing with the sting of being left out, why internalize and negatively self evaluate? So you were left out, you can't surely say for a good, bad or what type of reason and so, I suggest being a bit nicer with yourself and entertain the multitude of reasons that aren't negative.
Imo, it's a workplace setting and should be treated professionally. I would carry on and direct that emotional investment into something that has growth potential.

I've said something like 'OK, you win. Happy?'. If they respond that it's not a competition, tell them it felt like one.
or respond with
Of course you did, I didn't want to insinuate that my achievements were equal to yours.
