Well, it's always good to have backup backups, just in case your backup backup backup fails.

Seperate them before you wash them. Wash in batches closest to each other. Like king and queen together, smaller sheets seperate or something

The best way to rid soap smell is to stop prerinsing or use half the detergent. Too much detergent will rust racks, rot rubber pump seals.

Why would you need a lawyer on retainer anywhere?

Well, having a lawyer on retainer in Canada is like always having an umbrella - you might not need it all the time, but when you do, you'll be glad you have it.

Depends on the type of retainer. If it's one where you pay each month even if you don't use services, no. If it's where they just hang on to it until you need services and guarantees theyll take your call/ return emails, then sure.

See, I debated storing the sheet parts separately (flat's here, fitted's there)... It seemed like even more chaos sooner or later with crummy colors to match.
Does that really work for you?

Care to elaborate? Why in general and whats specific about Canada compared to other countries?
Is it just based on your personal experience or as a statement for every Canadian?

Get some of those blanket storage bags and pull everythunv out of the closet. Sort it all and label the bags. They stack well if the sheets are folded neatly.

I write BOTTOM on the bottom of the fitted sheets so I don't play the rotate game.

Sew a button onto a corner or tag, using different colours for different sizes. Perhaps blue for single, red for king etc., or whatever works for you.
