That's probably very unsanitary tbh

Some people pre-wash before putting things in the dishwasher.

Boiling water is a fuckton easier than learning basic plumbing, and not everyone’s good at the same things.

Reply to LPT Request: I am a contractor making $62,400 a year, and the position I am working for pays roughly $90,000 to $100,000, and I know my recruiter probably gets paid the difference. How do I get a higher salary with the same company? by dlonem1
It's hard to say without knowing the recruiter agreement with the company or even the industry. It's also hard for me to believe a recruiter is getting paid $30k/year for finding you, but I've witnessed more surprising things.
You're probably better off looking for a job elsewhere, if money is your main concern. If you get an offer, you can try to leverage it for a raise but I doubt the raise would be ~50%

You ask for a raise. When they tell you no you go work for a different contracting firm.

Well, if you think about that all day, you'll be sad and jump off a bridge, so pick whether you focus on it or not. I choose to mostly not ponder it. Tailor your perception and your mind will follow. I can't save anyone as an individual.

i want to ask you something, OP.
>Choose to believe that the world is kind
i can list more examples but these ones will do for now. there are babies, children and innocent people in this world who get violently assaulted and/or slaughtered like nothing and you can genuinely say that and believe that? that this world is kind?

Yeah, when I was still living in my dad's house we had a family of raccoons living in our roof. When he finally got around to hiring an exterminator to trap them, they had eaten multiple holes in the roof which started leaking when the rainy season came. Unfortunately, the exterminator only caught the mama raccoon, and was going to leave the babies to starve to death inside. So, my dad baited them out onto the roof, grabbed them with a claw stick, and made me hold them down while he shot them.

LPT: close the sink drain when you insert earrings over the sink.
LPT: place a dry washcloth or other small towel in the sink when you insert earrings over the sink.

Reply to LPT request: Going from two children (both in kindergarten) to three, what should I (the father) prepare for? Any LPTs from those who have gone through the same? by Ekkiftang
It's hard to mentally track location of kids when you add that third one. One of the three will now be wandering away unobserved. So do another round of baby proofing in the house.

You SHOULD be able to maintain your house yourself lol. If you want to pay a premium for a random person to do your chores, that's fine. There's nothing wrong with hiring a contractor, any more than there's anything wrong with hiring a maid. If you have money to throw at a convenience, that's awesome for you! But it's not about that.
My point is that when your pipes burst during a freeze, and the plumbers are all booked out 2 weeks, you'll be screwed if you A) don't even know the basics and B) aren't willing to try. Not only will it save you a lot of money, but you can help yourself (as well as family and friends) out of tough spots like that. It's a super basic skill, and your great grandparents would probably smack you upside the head for not knowing how to do basic repairs.
It's kind of like never learning to boil water. I don't need to boil water on a daily basis, but it's a basic skill that grown up humans should have. You could say that you have peace of mind letting Olive Garden cook your pasta, but at a certain point, you're just being willingly ignorant.

Well it used to be included with 4G hence the name 4GAS but they removed it then changed the name to 5G so people don't realize it's not covered anymore

This works well if you leave your favorite junk food next to the dirty dishes as a apology to future you.
